Agristo reduces contract by 4 euros per 100 kilos

Belgian potato processor Agristo is lowering its contract prices for 2026 by an average of €4 per 100 kilos. This represents a price reduction of 17%.

During a growers' meeting in Wielsbeke, the potato processor announced that seed potato prices will also decrease by 17%. This equates to a savings of approximately €300 per hectare. For Fontane in size 35/50, the cost price will be €68 per 100 kilos.

Agristo is the first of the chip companies to announce its contract price for next year. The contract price for early French fry potatoes will be €18,50 per 100 kilos in week 31 of 2026. For the ex-field period from mid-September to mid-October, the contract price will be €14 per 100 kilos.

For deliveries in week 1 of 2027, Agristo charges a contract price of €17,90 per 100 kilos. The price will then increase to €22,80 in week 17 (end of April) and to €26,50 in week 28 (mid-July).
