Mechanization company Dutch Power Company (DPC), also the owner of Conver, Precision Makers and Votex, among others, has been taken over by the American Alamo Group. The company announced this on Thursday 21 February.
The Dutch Power Company is taken over by the United States mechanization company Alamo Group. This company designs, produces and distributes, among other things, mowers for professional use. The aim of the acquisition is to increase its market position in Europe (mainly in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany).
The Dutch Power Company brands will continue to exist, it reports. In addition, there would be no consequences for the staff, because the branches in Giessen, Enschede and Middelburg will remain open.
Addition to assortment
Ron Robinson, the CEO of Alamo, reports that talks have been held with the Dutch Power Company for some time. "The company is a good addition to Alamo's product range, which means that we can now offer a full range. The acquisition also ensures that we can accelerate our market position."
According to Peter Mouthaan, the general manager of DPC, it ensures a strong position in a niche market of professional machines for garden, park, roadside and ditch maintenance. "DPC's brands benefit from Alamo's large network and this offers room for accelerated growth. I look to the future with confidence."
John Deere and Precision Makers
In January it was announced that the autonomous vehicle specialist Precision Makers, which is part of the Dutch Power Company, will work together with John Deere. The Dutch vehicle specialist had previously converted John Deere tractor units, but then stopped.
