The Dutch brand Rumptstad will stop producing reversible plows, owner Lemken has decided. The factory in Stad aan 't Haringvliet (South Holland) will focus on the Steketee hoe brand. The famous Rumptstad body will remain available, but on a blue plow.
Rumptstad has a steady fan base in the Netherlands, especially among arable farmers on clay soil. The 480-mouldboard is known for its good retaining effect. Lemken does not like to see those customers go and also wants to keep the Rumptstad dealers. The alternative is their own 'Juwel 8 M V' plow, with the R480 bodywork as an option. It is available on 3 to 6 scissors.

The existing dealers of Lemken can also choose these from the option booklet, along with a number of other features of Rumptstad. The Optimus 480 reversible plow, which Rumptstad introduced in 2015, is disappearing from the scene. However, the Ecoploeg will still be produced this year. No decision has yet been made by the parent company about the further development of this model.
The frame of Lemken Juwel remains the same in the 'Rumptstad version', but reinforced stems are added. The standard plow beam height is 80 centimetres. The plow will be available in the Netherlands from mid-August and the dealers of Rumptstad and Steketee are allowed to sell this Lemken plow. Some dealers still have Optimus plows in stock. The Rumptstad brand will therefore remain for sale in the Netherlands for the time being.
