André Hoogendijk will be the director of Branche organization Akkerbouw (BO Akkerbouw) from 1 September 2019. The organization announced this in a press release on Thursday 4 April.
Hoogendijk will succeed Matthé Elema, who will retire this summer. Hoogendijk is currently the deputy director of the Koninklijke Algemeene Vereeniging voor Bloembollencultuur (KAVB) and focuses there on the field of 'Sustainability'.
'The right man'
Dirk de Lugt, the chairman of BO Akkerbouw, is pleased with the arrival of the new director. "He has strong communication skills and knows how to get things moving. Hoogendijk is the right man for the next phase in the development of BO Akkerbouw", says De Lugt in the press release.
BO Akkerbouw also reports in the press release that Elema will be parted ways at a later date.
