The carrot market has calmed down considerably in recent weeks. In addition, there is little export demand. Some trade is still done here and there, but this is mostly about small batches.

In general, flushers wait to make purchases because they are having difficulty selling carrots at the moment. The big question is whether Germany and Belgium will continue to run on old carrots, as new carrots from France are already available. There is still some demand from various supermarkets.

Most demand for large carrots
The DCA quotation Peen has an average price of €29 per 100 kilos for B-carrot, with a price range of €25 to €33. Most demand is for coarser C-carrots. The price therefore remains stable at €32,50 per 100 kilos. There is actually less demand for carrots, causing the price to drop to €26,50 per 100 kilos (-€2).
