Today (Friday 1 November) HZPC is worth 10% less. The price of the HZPC share certificate has fallen by this maximum value on the trading day. This is the third downgrade in a row.
On the previous trading day in May, the price also fell by 10%. However, in the 8 years before that, the value of HZPC has increased considerably: from just under €42 per certificate in 2010 to approximately €200 each in mid-2018. The value of the certificate now amounts to €145,80. Based on 783.725 outstanding certificates, the certificate value of HZPC therefore amounts to more than €114,15 million.
Fairly large offer
"After a long period of maximum price increases, the price has fallen in the last three trading days. The supply was reasonably large, but lower than the last days of the fair," Gerard Backx, CEO of HZPC, said in a statement. "The demand has been limited, but significantly higher than on the last days of the fair. Less than 1% of the total number of certificates has been traded."
At the beginning of March, the seed potato trading house reported that the profit for the year 2018/19 was higher than the previous financial year. This eventually increased from €4,7 million in 2017/18 to €9,4 million in the past financial year. This has resulted in a dividend of €7,75 per depositary receipt. This is €3,75 per certificate more than the year before.
