Concerns about carrot quality are increasing

It is quiet on the carrot market, although there are more concerns about the quality of the carrot. After rinsing, this does not always appear to be good. The DCA listing of Peen remains stable.

Although there is a lot of harvesting and little rinsing, concerns about the quality of the carrots are increasing. The batches that have already been rinsed appear to have quite a few defects. Exports to Africa are going well and there is also increasing interest from Belgium.

Silent market
However, free trade on the farm has largely come to a standstill. The DCA quotation for Carrot therefore remains stable at €8,50 per 100 kilos (with a price range of €8 to €9). There is little supply of coarser C-carrot, partly because it contains a lot of tare. The price is slightly higher: €10 to €11 per 100 kilos.
