Although there is a lot of harvesting and little rinsing, concerns about the quality of the carrots are increasing. The batches that have already been rinsed appear to have quite a few defects. Exports to Africa are going well and there is also increasing interest from Belgium.
Silent market
However, free trade on the farm has largely come to a standstill. The DCA quotation for Carrot therefore remains stable at €8,50 per 100 kilos (with a price range of €8 to €9).
