CZAV members will be paid €1,5 million this year, compared to €1,3 million last year. The shortening is due to the cooperative's positive figures for the 2018/2019 financial year.
The shortening is therefore €0,2 million higher than last year and is refunded to members and customers in proportion to turnover. This discount is paid for the groups of crop protection products, fertilizers, animal feed, onion and maize seeds.
This year CZAV also grants a discount on organic fertilizers. In doing so, the cooperative wants to do justice to the growing attention for soil and fertilization. She also wants to make the binding of the activities extra visible in this way. This concerns solid manure, liquid manure, composts and mushroom compost.
Difficult growing season
The positive result is somewhat striking, given the difficult growing season. The season was mainly characterized by dry and warm periods. Due to the good soil structure, the yields in the south-west of the country were nevertheless not too bad. The grain harvest is remarkably good. Sufficient and good roughage was also obtained and the fruit picking went well and smoothly. Due to the precipitation, later harvests have been delayed, as have the sowing of winter wheat and the planting of bulbs.Â
