Chamber does nothing with nitrogen reduction due to crisis

23 April 2020 - Erik Colenbrander - 3 comments

Last night, the House of Representatives rejected a motion by politicians Baudet (FvD) and Van Haga (ex VVD) asking the government to investigate how the nitrogen space released by the corona crisis can be used.

The possibility of increasing the maximum speed again during the day to 130 km/h should also be explicitly mapped out, as should, for example, the possibility of housing construction.

SGP: legally not feasible
In addition to the petitioners Van Haga and the FvD, only the PVV voted for the motion. Opposition party SGP did not vote in favor of the motion because the nitrogen space created as a result of the corona crisis is a temporary reduction, explains party employee Hans Maljaars. “Legally, that space cannot be given to projects that have a structural effect, such as housing construction with road traffic as a result. As far as driving 130 km/h is concerned, you might be able to drive 130 again for a year and then again 100. Then they will certainly have to adjust all the signs twice again, which will cost millions.”

The SGP is of the opinion that the nitrogen space that is released provides air to shape the nitrogen reduction in agriculture in a sensible way. “But that is different from what Baudet wants”, thinks Maljaars.

Almost majority for PvdD motion
After the House of Representatives debate last night in the plenary hall, several motions were put to the vote that concern the agricultural sector. The Party of the Animals almost managed to get a majority for its motion denying the Van Drie Group government support, because this million-dollar company has enough equity to bear the costs itself. The PVV voted with the opposition.

The PvdD also called for a veal import stop, as well as an import stop for poultry meat. The animal party received much less support from other parties for these two motions.

I am so glad I made the decision , at the time in 2013 , to sell everything and go abroad .
What a posturing there in the Netherlands for a non-existent nitrogen problem.
jk 23 April 2020
but you're among the French, then I'd rather have a nitrogen problem

Problem is politically corrupted by lobbyists.

Not a thoughtful, disputable! left-wing or right-wing ideas of a democracy, but just brutally setting unattainable standards by hundreds of lobbyists who fill the agendas of our The Hague newsreaders, portrayed as bold, indisputable policy but in reality total madness.

Only concrete product of our tax collectors is G5 espionage, spying on highways to enslave the population of their lobbyists: People's Party for Freedom and Democracy is nothing but a play by EU waiters.

Our lobbycracy works for banks with land without equity, Our democracy has been given away, a hopeless clown who makes fun of the real problem. We get to work for these sick, trained monkeys.

"We couldn't make it any easier": Our road to hell is paved with plans to reverse the climate, snooping apps to make sure you don't die, but in reality a culture of fear where every form of freedom is immediately taken away VVD and Clown Wilders.
You can no longer respond.
