The carrot market is normally a bit quieter the week after Easter. Then too much has been purchased for Easter and these batches are processed first. But the demand for the B carrot this week has not really picked up either. What does this mean for the DCA peen listing?
Demand in the carrot market continues quietly, but the carrot trade is not yet busy. The quality differences in the B carrot became apparent again last week. The box prices vary enormously, depending on the quality, and it is therefore sometimes difficult to switch from a box price to a kilo price of carrot.
The C-peen is still not running. The situation will not change much as long as the catering industry is still closed. There is supply in the C-carrot, but simply no demand. There is therefore virtually no trade taking place there. If there is an agreement, it is for dumping prices.
