Brussels agreement, chip potato regulation official

The European Commission has approved the Dutch compensation scheme for chips potatoes. The regulation has now been published in the Government Gazette and is therefore officially in force. Affected growers were able to send their batches of chips potatoes whose destination has been lost register with RVO.nl since yesterday.

The approval of the European Commission was the last hurdle for the regulation to come into effect officially. Now the scheme in the Government Gazette has been published, in addition to growers of French fries potatoes, growers in floriculture and food horticulture can also claim compensation, André Hoogendijk, chairman of BO Akkerbouw, reports on Twitter.
