This sales form gives onion growers the opportunity to register for a tender when the price level and the conditions suit him/her. All conditions and specifications are shown in advance. Onion growers then have until 18 pm on Monday 18.00 May to register. When the tender is closed, onion growers will be informed within 24 hours whether the offer has been awarded.
Great success in recent years
Machiel Boons of Uienhandel.com indicates that this way of marketing onions has gone very well in recent years. "Growers like to choose when they trade. The conditions are transparent and this way of selling onions is experienced as casual, onion growers don't have to wait for a trader or processor to make an offer, so that they can control can hold their own hands," says Boons.
Tender harvest 2020
The tender that Uienhandel.com is issuing relates to yellow seed onions, delivery before Christmas 2020. Onion growers determine the volume with which they want to participate based on the number of loads. However, the volume is limited.
