News Boerenbusiness Poll

Lots of support for Vogelaar and Haanstra as LTO chairman

28 July 2020 - Redactie Boerenbusiness - 30 comments

A week ago, Jan Cees Vogelaar and Jaap Haanstra put themselves forward as new president of LTO Nederland. A vast majority of readers of Boerenbusiness likes this duo, as it turns out a poll which has been voted almost 900 times.

When asked whether Haanstra and Vogelaar and Haanstra should become the new chairmen of LTO Nederland, 79% of the respondents responded with 'yes'. The duo advocates 1 strong farmers' and horticulturists' lobby, they said in response to their candidacy.

Both gentlemen strive a flat and efficient farmers' organization. They also see a role for LTO in the Agricultural Collective. Apparently these points of view appeal, because the duo is seen by three quarters of the respondents as connectors in the fragmented advocacy.

Call for President-elect
Furthermore, the poll shows that 4 out of 5 voters are for an elected chairman. Until now, the LTO leader was always nominated, but this system is being discussed internally in the context of support. For the time being, Vogelaar and Haanstra are the only ones who have publicly put themselves forward for the presidency.

LTO Nederland has indicated that it will take until November to find a successor for Marc Callon who resigned early in May. As the procedure now prescribes, the selected candidates will be nominated in mid-October to the Members' Council, which will then vote on them in November.

Apparently the board has chosen Cees Veerman for natural monuments, the rest is waste?

I canceled my membership years ago due to dissatisfaction. This club must be stopped. Don't want me represented in the lobby anymore. Simply too soft setting. A big puppet show. What is the current membership number? And is this still significant?

I also emailed the editors of the new crop at the beginning of the week.

This is how they treat their members/readers.
I am now going to doubt many more things that are in that newspaper, this may have been going on for years, and we have also been completely misinformed about phosphate rights, nitrogen negotiations, etc.

It's business stinks

A large majority and 900 voters, is that sufficient according to B&B

such a story of Lohman who wants to improve agriculture as a city gets 2 pages

It also says something about doctors who are given advertising time to complain about particulate matter, with the support of a benefactor

that is not necessary in this sheet
I want to read about the farmer's action that was there and an explanation about it
I want to read the story of Vogelaar and Haanstra in this magazine

Vogelaar is the guy who, together with the Manure Day Fund, made a lot of fuss about RIVM's nitrogen calculations, which turned out to be correct afterwards. Especially one that screams.

which turned out to be NOT correct afterwards and have been adjusted by RIVM

Do you have a source for that?

@Janmaat: See response RIVM dated 03-Mar-2020 -
"As mentioned, new calculations show that the average contribution of the agricultural sector to nitrogen deposition in nitrogen-sensitive nature areas is 41%. In a previous calculation this percentage was higher (45%)"

Also see Mesdag fund itself:
http://www.mesdag-fonds.nl/nieuws/147/onjuiste-conclusie-getrokken-uit-rapport-stikstof-in-een-verstikkend-politiek-debat-.html
The 41% now comes out if the same input value as RIVM is used (control file). That does not mean that this is the contribution of agriculture, but that on the basis of the initial assumptions (what do we count and what not?).

That is what the Mesdag Fund has shown, the output of the data can be controlled and as a result it is no longer a scientific number, but a politically charged number. How should we calculate accurately?

The Hordijk Committee is also critical of the models and choices on which it is based, and criticism has come from an earlier international review.
https://resource.wur.nl/en/show/Ammonia-gap-calls-for-new-investment.htm

Within the same calculation model, sources are treated differently, as 1today also showed:
https://twitter.com/NPORadio1/status/1283414039025070081
Aviation also appears to be known but to be ignored:
https://twitter.com/jan_salden/status/1279087745172938752/photo/1

In addition, shipping traffic (North Sea, etc.) is partly classified under international heading (you don't have to do anything about it) (data mesdag fund)

Finally, these are all numbers from the years 2016/2017; Since then, agriculture has already drastically reduced (10% livestock reduction), as well as problems with data on the basis (WUR - emissions), which will cause the numbers for agriculture to fall sharply.
It is not for nothing that the Remkes committee says that a 50% reduction compared to the year 2019 must be considered otherwise agriculture may achieve this too quickly

I think you are not a member Jan, otherwise you would know that the bobos has ensured that voting has long been abolished so that they can divide the jobs among themselves.

take canon with his side job at nature monuments
Claas 30 July 2020
It is not about support for LTO among farmers, but among the agricultural business community.
The directors of Friesland Campina, Cosun, Agrifirm, Rabobank, etc., ensure that this organization remains afloat and talks to the government on our behalf.

anti-keessie 2 31 July 2020
Keessie, you are indeed burped, ready.

You must not be a Christian, according to your shown charity, that you are allowed to roll in a language which in Dutch most resembles curses where pigs stand on two legs and Kees is at home.

Haus Wachenfeld or Berghof is still available for you.

Can you paint over the swastika with VVD and you will die unscrupulously and honorably as befits a real traitor. Not a Dutch culture fighter but a cowardly dog.
boss 31 July 2020
Kees is a smart guy. good sale. perhaps he will seek refuge elsewhere. understandable, the farmer's climate is nowhere as terrible as in the Netherlands
subsidy addict 31 July 2020
This is indeed the described mentality of Keessie.

VVD voted: first burn the case and then leave.
Mentality of Haanstra gives the youth a chance for a future and you burn old money for your own gain in Naziland..?

What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger

Let Haanstra fight or go on living like a fat-fated toddler.
I don't think farmers in the Netherlands are doing badly, politicians, like (not all) farmers, are sick spoiled toddlers living on a welfare state that has long since disappeared by lobbyists.
common sense 31 July 2020
Farmers' rights are no longer self-evident.

Like the industry, we need people in our prehistoric Europe with historical newsreaders in politics (parasitic education: driving forward on the rearview mirror), who do not want/cannot understand that the world/climate is changing.

Otherwise they'll walk all over us, that's how it works.
It's not more difficult...

I choose Haanstra
huh? 31 July 2020
Haanstra a hero...
You don't mean Bert Haanstra Film director, do you?

Keessie very right!! Money becomes worthless so enjoy it as much as possible while you still can. By the way, soil on the paving stones will no longer be wearable when everything becomes Green Deal, etc.
hans 31 July 2020
Indeed Keessie, first they can't wait until you drop dead to be able to "take over" your shop (which the bank has to do), because "mass is cash" for those jup farmers of today,
and now that it's getting a little more difficult, as many more experienced farmers saw coming, now they can't do anything but piss you off.

I also say, enjoy it, you have not received or stolen anything!

Keessie, you are someone with a good mind who apparently still uses it.
Well done dude.

We are also working on getting rid of the toko in the most financially favorable way possible for us.
As I can see it now, a luxury yacht, for me, is in it.
I think I'll be watching this worrying in Europe from the water together with my loved ones.
