The carrot market is still calm and the mood is unchanged compared to the recent weeks. The market does feel somewhat friendlier, although traders are not yet talking about a stampede. The mood is slightly better due to the rainy weather, which means that many plots cannot be cleared. The offer is therefore slightly more limited. On the other hand, sales are still not improving. Only slightly more parties are requested from Belgium and Zeeland.

Ratings for B-carrot slightly increased
As a result of the slightly friendly market, the DCA quotation for B-carrot takes a small step of €0,50 up to an average price of €13 per 100 kilos. The price range is €12 to €14 per 100 kilos. In the longer term, however, it is expected that this price will drop to €10 to €12 per 100 kilos.

The quotation for C-peen does not follow this more positive sentiment. The quotation drops by €1,50 to an average of €10,50 per 100 kilos, with a price range of €10 to €11. Very occasionally €12 is paid, but this is an exception rather than the rule. Traders expect that when it becomes drier, price pressure will increase again.
