Good auxin/cytokinin ratio
A good auxin/cytokinin ratio is important from emergence (2:1). A high ratio promotes the formation of (hair) roots and above-ground leaf mass. Auxin is mainly produced in the young growing tips of leaves and stems, so relatively much auxin is produced by the plant itself during emergence. A low ratio promotes the formation of new stolons and tubers (shoots). It is difficult for a fully grown potato plant to restore this desired ratio itself, so that a helping hand is gratefully accepted during emergence. Over the course of growth, the concentration of cytokinin will naturally increase because it is produced in both the roots and the leaves. This returns the necessary balance to the plant. In short, a higher cytokinin concentration in the plant will stop the formation of roots, stimulate the development of the leaf mass and stimulate the formation and filling of tubers. In this way we support the plant to get as close as possible to its maximum genetic production potential.

At 100% emergence of the potatoes: 1 L/ha CitoCalcium, repeat after 7 days. The end result can be: a larger quantity of tubers in the important sizes with an improved quality.
