The most recent export figure (week 19) amounts to 14.118 tons of onions. Last week there was some extra demand overseas, but that did not continue this week. Exports therefore remain at a fairly constant level.
At the end of last week, €20 was paid for a few nice games.

Focus packers on the coming season
Many onion growers hoped that the upward movement in onion prices would continue this week. A similar picture was visible last year, when the onion price rose in week 20 from €17 to €20, after which the onion price went through the roof. Such an increase was not visible this week. A number of packers are stopping operations now that bale and farmer prices no longer match and are focusing on the coming season.

For the first time since March 4, 2021, the €20 is back on the board at the regional stock exchange listing in Emmeloord. This stock exchange listing amounts to €16 to €20. The stock exchange quotations in Goes and Middenmeer remained stuck earlier in the week at quotations of €15 to 17,50 (Middenmeer) and €15 to €18.

Bale prices are stable. An overview of the bale prices can be found in the DCA listing Bale price Onions
