Various rinsers have now stopped processing carrots from storage. The companies that are still running mainly flush their own stock and make little or no purchases. As a result, there is little trade in B-carrot from storage.

The transactions made this week are mainly due to companies that are still short of supplies and have to buy to meet their obligations to customers. Sellers know this and the price remains at the same level, partly due to the limited availability of good carrots.

C-peen remains in demand
The DCA quotation for B-carrot is €31 per 100 kilos. That's the same as last week. Good carrots are difficult to obtain, just like in recent weeks. It should be noted that only a limited number of transactions were made this week. Trading is still taking place in C-peen, but here too it concerns a limited number of transactions. C carrot from the new harvest will become available later, so there will still be demand for it. The DCA quotation of C-peen increases by €2,50 compared to last week and amounts to €37,50 per 100 kilos.

Because not much B carrot from the old harvest is processed and because of the limited volume traded, this is the last DCA carrot quotation of this season.
