The Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) seized a large quantity of plant protection products (PPP) that are not authorized in the Netherlands today (Thursday 8 July). The inspectors and detectives found 350 liters of prohibited substances at 2 locations in Flevoland.
In addition to the GBMs, batches of alcohol were also found that were not declared to customs. A case has been registered against the owner of the premises. The buyer of the drugs has also been arrested and he will also be fined.
The NVWA started the criminal investigation after a tip had been received by customs about unauthorized substances in a garage and that they were being traded. The investigation is led by the Functional Public Prosecutor's Office. The PPPs have since been removed and will be destroyed as soon as possible.
