Crop protection producer and seed company Corteva Agriscience officially takes over the American Stoller Group, one of the largest independent producers of biological agents. With the acquisition, Corteva strengthens its commitment to farmers in the field of biological crop protection.
The acquisition of Houston-based Stoller Group was announced yesterday (November 30). In recent years, the multinational company has developed into one of the leading companies in the field of biologicals (biological agents and crop strengthening products). With the acquisition, Corteva wants to expand its activities in the field of biological crop protection products and become one of the largest players in this segment. Biologicals are expected to represent approximately 2035% of the total crop protection market by 25.
The acquisition of Stoller is not the first for Corteva this year in this segment of biological crop protection products. The company previously announced the acquisition of the Spanish Symborg, a company active in the field of agricultural biotechnology. Corteva indicates that both companies will function as one entity.
