What started as an idea has grown into an indispensable tool for many agricultural entrepreneurs in the Netherlands and Belgium. On June 1, the DCA Transaction App will celebrate its one-year anniversary with no fewer than 1 members.
With the Transaction app there is a big one Community built where members share daily transactions about their purchases and sales. Many a farmer gets up in the morning with the reports from the Transaction app. The photo above this article, taken in September, shows the 2.000th member. So it goes fast.
Transactions provide insight
In the past year, more than 4.500 transactions were shared by both arable farmers and dairy farmers. The app has become especially popular in the arable farming sector. An active group of participants keeps each other informed of the latest price developments on a daily basis. In the onion and potato market in particular, many growers have been helped by the current insights into the rapidly changing markets. Growers use the information to receive the right price for their products.

How does the Transaction App work?
A large part of the success is due to the low threshold of the Transaction app. After signing up via the website it is only important to save the Transaction app number in the contact list on the phone. That's all it takes to receive daily reported transactions from colleagues.
Reporting transactions yourself is also simple. By texting a photo of the purchase or sales contract or a received invoice to the number of the Transaction app, you can contribute to the community. The reported transaction is immediately included in the transaction overview the next working day.
