The error was made in the calculation of the premiums for early and late delivery. Initially, the share of member beets in the total delivery, including surplus and excess beets, was not taken into account. This has been corrected today.

Growers can now find a corrected final settlement in the Cosun member portal. According to Cosun, payment is being processed according to schedule.

In the new settlement, growers see how much premium they receive for their member beets and for the other beets. After correction, the final settlement turns out to be slightly lower. The difference can amount to a few hundred euros. This depends on the quantity of surplus and excess beets the grower has supplied.

The final settlement also states how many surplus beets will be settled after redistribution based on the member price. The same applies to the quantity of surplus beets for which the surplus price ultimately applies.

The national average yield for the 2025 harvest amounts to 91 tonnes of beets per hectare, Cosun announced earlier. The sugar content averages 17,1%. This results in an average sugar yield of 15,6 tonnes per hectare. Cosun pays €40,45 per ton for beets of average quality. An average price of €25 per ton has been set for surplus beets and €15,15 per ton for excess beets.
