For example, the price range in Germany for medium sorting, sorted, delivered in Big Bags and collected from sorting company in week 3 is between 11,00 and 14,00 euros per 100 kg for yellow seed onions. For red seed onions, the price range is 20,00 to 23,00 euros per 100 kg.

The Austrian onion market is also stabilizing with a price range of 9,00 to 13,00 euros per 100 kg (sorted, delivered loose in boxes, ex grower's company). At this time of year, when many foreigners visit the country for a winter sports holiday, onion sales are good. It 'compensates' somewhat for the declining export opportunities, which had picked up in recent weeks.

The situation on the Polish onion market has been unchanged for weeks. Since week 41 of 2016, the price range for yellow seed onions has been set at 6,50 to 9,00 euros per 100 kg. Poland has a good harvest of onions this year and is therefore importing less than in previous seasons. This means, among other things, that the 'bottom former' has disappeared from the Dutch onion market.
