In Austria this is due to the winter weather, which creates extra demand for onions. On the other hand, onion sales in the export market do not want to increase, so the mood and price range remain unchanged this week. For sorted onions delivered loose in crates from the grower's company, 9,00 to 13,00 euros per 100 kg are paid.

In Germany, the movement on the onion market is being initiated by retail actions, which provide additional sales. But here too, placing onions in the export market does not seem to be an easy task and does not yield more volume. The price range for sorted onions, medium sorting, delivered in Big Bags, ex-sorting company is between 11,00 and 14,00 euros per 100 kg.
