Yellow onion market is keeping it quiet this week

This was caused by the top price rising from 6,25 euros to 7,00 euros per 100 kg. The lower end of the quotation remained at 5,50 euros per 100 kg. The quotation of the 60% coarse grading remained unchanged on average because the bottom fell by half a euro but the top rose by half a euro. This coarse grading was quoted at 6,00 to 8,00 euros per 100 kg.

The quotation of yellow seed onions in Middenmeer has not changed this week. The price quoted for the 30% coarse grading was 5,00 to 6,00 euros per 100 kg and for the 60% coarse grading 5,50 to 7,00 euros per 100 kg.

In Emmeloord, the quotation of yellow seed onions for the 30% to 60% coarse grading was on average left unaffected. The price rose by half a euro at the bottom, but lost it again at the top. The quotation for the 60% coarse grading increased by an average of half a euro, bringing the quotation to 6,00 to 7,50 euros per 100 kg. The mood remained unchanged with 'Quiet'.

The quotation of the red seed onions remained unchanged for both coarse grades, but the mood became slightly friendlier with 'Pricey'.

The same picture was visible with the quotation of organic onions, where the quotation also remained unchanged and the mood was described as 'Calm' (was 'Bland').
