More than 6.500 tons of this exported quantity is en route to Dutch ports, 3.600 tons to French ports and 2.600 tons to Belgian ports. The New Zealand onions are partly transported further into the hinterland of Europe via the Western European ports.

With a decrease of 103 tons, the United Kingdom is also below the level of last year when more than 9 tons had been shipped up to and including week 2.000.

Outside Europe, Indonesia, the Pacific Islands and Japan are the largest customers with 4.383 tons (previous year 5.974 tons), 3.549 tons (previous year 3.284 tons) and 1.773 tons (previous year 1.155 tons), respectively.
