Urgency onion market brought Emmeloord to note

Initially, only the regional exchanges in Goes and Middenmeer would be trading onions this week. That has to do with King's Day. The trade fair committee for onions in Emmeloord has finally decided to meet on Wednesday evening, April 26, and publish an onion listing. This is because of the developments on the Dutch onion market.

Goes
This week there was another quotation for the yellow seed onions in Goes for both coarse gradings. The 30% coarse grading was quoted from 0,50 to 1,50 euros per 100 kilos. For the 60% coarse sorting, 2,00 to 3,50 euros per 100 kilos were quoted. This means an increase of 2,25 euros.

Middenmeer
In Middenmeer, the quotation for yellow seed onions with a 30% coarse grading increased by an average of 1,00 euros to 0,00 to 1,00 euros per 100 kilos. The quotation for the 60% coarse grading increased by an average of 1,50 euros to a quotation of 1,00 to 2,00 euros per 100 kilos. The mood went from "Bland" to "Quiet".

Renewed question ensures a stable mood

Emmeloord, yellow sowing onions
The quotations for sowing onions also rose in Emmeloord. The quotation for the 30% to 60% coarse grading rose by an average of 1,75 euros and therefore amounted to 1,50 to 3,00 euros per 100 kilos. With the 60% coarse grading, the quotation increased on average by 3,50 euros to 3,00 to 5,50 euros per 100 kilos. The vote was expressed as "solid".

Emmeloord, red seed onions
This vote also applied to the quotation of red seed onions. Here the quotation for the 30% to 60% coarse grading increased on average by 1,50 euros to 17,00 to 18,00 euros per 100 kilos. The average increase for the 60% coarse grading was 2,25 euros, bringing the quotation to 18,00 to 20,50 euros per 100 kilos.
