Onion prices don't move, but the mood does

There is little movement in onion prices. However, there is a visible change in the mood on the onion market at the Emmeloord fair.

On average, the quotation of yellow seed onions remained unchanged this week. The change for the 30% coarse sorting amounted to plus a quarter of euros. 0,50 to 1 euro per 100 kilos was quoted. The quotation for the 60% coarse grading fell by a quarter of a euro and therefore amounted to 1 to 2 euros per 100 kilos.
Emmeloord
The quotation of yellow seed onions in Emmeloord remained unchanged this week compared to last week. For the 30% to 60% coarse grading, 0,25 to 1 euro per 100 kilos was quoted and for the 60% coarse grading 0,50 to 2 euros per 100 kilos. The mood changed from "Bland" to "Quiet".
