The provisional export figures for week 24 for onions amount to 12.647 tons. The export figure was increased by 954 tons due to subsequent information from previous weeks. This brings the seasonal export figure to 1.024.955 tons, which corresponds to 20.499 tons per week. Last season the export figure up to and including week 24 was 1.014.351 tons (-10.905 tons). For calendar year 2017, the export counter stands at 418.505 tons, compared to 418.426 tons last year.
Ivory Coast and Mauritania in the top 3
The most onions were exported to Great Britain in week 24: 1.850 tons, bringing the season's total to 134.645 tons. Last year that level was 93.530 tonnes (-41.115 tonnes). Ivory Coast was the next destination to which many onions were exported, a total of 1.665 tons. Ivory Coast has accounted for the purchase of 85.027 tons this season. Mauritania completes the top three with a purchase of 1.024 tons, which results in a seasonal decrease of 51.575 tons.
