The first quotation of onions in Emmeloord was achieved in week 32 this season. For direct delivery from land, this amounted to €30 to €8 per 9 kilos for the 100% coarse sorting and €60 to €8 per 10 kilos for the 100% coarse sorting. The mood was described as 'prize-loving'.

Mood is somewhere between price-loving and calm

For seed onions that can grow, the ex-field quotation was €5 to €6 per 100 kilos for the 30% coarse grading and for the coarse grading at €6 to €7 per 100 kilos. The mood here was described as 'calm'.

The last season
Last season, the first quotation for seed onions was achieved in the same week. At that time there was no quotation for direct delivery, because there were too few transactions. €10 to €12 per 100 kilos were recorded for mature onions for both coarse grades, with a 'quiet' rating.
