81 countries provide a new export figure

The export figure for week 40 amounts to 20.144 tons. Due to subsequent information from previous export weeks, the total export figure has been increased by 188 tons, bringing this season's counter to 274.498 tons. The weekly average is 22.874 tons. Last season, 277.702 tons of onions were exported in the same weeks.

Who took the most?
Ivory Coast was the country that purchased the most onions in week 40; with a volume of 3.200 tons. More than 2.500 tons of onions went to Senegal and are the first volume of onions to fall under the quota set by Senegal (65.000 tons until January 1, 2018). So far, Senegal has imported 65.332 tons of Dutch onions, compared to 57.250 tons last year. Malaysia accounted for the purchase of 1.831 tonnes.

The smallest quantities went to the Maldives in week 40: 2 tons and 5 tons went to Kuwait.The export figures for onions up to and including week 40.
