In line with expectations, a good export figure for onions was also achieved in week 42. The adjustments of previous weeks also ensure that the total export figure can be there this season.

Subsequent information from previous export weeks appears to have increased the figure by 9.246 tonnes. Among other things, the export figure for week 32 has been increased (36.640 tons), which further strengthens the weekly record.
Quota reached quickly?
The export to Senegal is striking. About 65.000% of the set quota (40 tons) has already been delivered between week 42 and week 45; namely 29.130. If we continue at this pace, the last onions will already be delivered in week 46/47. This could also explain why things feel a bit calmer in the current market.
In terms of customer, Senegal was again an absolute winner in week 42 with 13.307 tons, now good for the purchase of 91.959 tons. Senegal was followed at a great distance by Ivory Coast with 3.215 tons, Mauritania with 1.601 tons and Great Britain with 1.512 tons.
