Based on preliminary information, approximately 46 tons of onions were exported in week 36.234. This means that more than 30.000 tons have been exported in 1 week for the fifth time this season. It is an absolute record, especially when taking into account that 4 weeks were above 35.000 tonnes and 2 weeks were above 38.000 tonnes.

The weekly average is 27.012 tons. The season counter now stands at 486.228 tons, which means that 1.759 tons of additional information has been received. 

The biggest customers
What is striking is the number 1 of week 46. For a change, that is not Senegal, but Ivory Coast. The country purchased 7.791 tons of onions and is already good for 62.384 tons of onions this season. Senegal was the second buyer with 6.389 tons and has now purchased 117.001 tons of onions.

Mali takes third place with 3 tons, Indonesia follows with 2.533 tons of onions and the Philippines closes the top 2.478 with 5 tons of onions. Senegal has imported more than 1.808 tons of onions since week 40, which is 54.172% of the established quota.The export figures of onions over the years, up to and including week 46.
