The provisional figures for week 48 show that 29.221 tons of onions were exported. This figure will undoubtedly be adjusted upwards due to subsequent information. In the weeks preceding week 48, the volume of subsequent information was 2.489 tonnes.
The counter for this season stands at 549.245 tons, which corresponds to a weekly average of 27.462 tons. For calendar year 2017, the counter has now passed the 1 million ton limit: 1.016.418 tons. In the past year the counter stood at 967.830 tons last year, which means a plus of 5%.

Ivory Coast was responsible for the export result in week 48. The country purchased 5.586 tons last week, which puts the purchase this season at 72.041 tons. The decrease by the Philippines was striking (3.662 tons). The country therefore occupies second place. A total of 14.490 tons went to this Southeast Asian country this season.
Senegal took third place with 2.295 tons and already accounted for a purchase of 125.120 tons this season. Senegal has now purchased 62.292 tonnes of the established quota.
