Record export does not reduce onion stock

19 February 2018 - Anne Jan Doorn - 16 comments

VTA's stock inventory shows that almost 12,3% more onions have been delivered this season, which corresponds to the stories about the record export† On the other hand, the onion stock this season is 8% higher than last season.

Compared to the 5-year average, the onion stock among VTA members is 4,4% higher. About 75% of that stock is still available, which means that 25% has been sold. The high free stock in absolute tons is approximately 3,2% higher than the 5-year average and 7,2% higher than last year.

Red onions sold earlier
The stock of free red onions is lower in relation to the yellow seed onions. Of the red onions, 47% of the stock has already been sold, while this is 25% of the yellow seed onions. About 50 of the onions (both red and yellow) have already been delivered. That is comparable to last season.

This seems like a message to cover up the CBS gaffe.
They were 1000 tons wrong, how can such fictions exist!!!!!

recover.
It was not 1000 tons but 537 ha times an average 50 tons is spacious is a good 26850 tons.
What a story from CBS.

Pete, I don't think you understand.
Once again:

If 537 ha is not harvested, then it has been sown. So it is logical that the figures are adjusted?

250 ha under the smoke of rotterdam due to fire and 100 ha in Zeeland due to quality and size and the rest in the north of the Netherlands.

250 ha due to fire, maybe I missed something explain?

Probably just out of hibernation. Around Spijkenisse, all kinds of onions, beets, etc. were destroyed in or on the field during that ch.fire.

Hello Piet,
There is a total of 130000 tons less than was initially thought at Statistics Netherlands.
HA figures and HA yields have been corrected.
Hey, keep an eye out.

Watch out Anton!

There is 134.000 tons more than last year!
See quote below:

To reduce the gross yield to the net tons to be marketed, Statistics Netherlands assumes a yield of 50,6 tons per hectare (gross is 55,7 instead of the previously published yield of 56,7 tons). On balance, this means a total net yield of 1,3 million tons; 134.700 tons more than last year, or more than 11%

Have I written about more or less? The questioner didn't know that environmental damage was caused by a major fire near Spijkenisse, I thought, so I don't know what I've spelled wrong, so be careful not to point your finger.

@Rokus.Trek from that 134700 tons already 87000 tons from. More has already been exported this season. Then there is still 47700 tons.A few more weeks and it has evaporated

We already agreed that we can't do anything with the figures from CBS this year. They completely miss the point. Next year there will be no one who will fill in these figures in an honest way Or even better not to fill in at all( We can't do anything with Vta stock measurement anymore. Have almost no members anymore and those who are still members prefer not to participate anymore. So we now have two meaningless figures that we can do nothing with. There is an estimated free stock of 200000 tons within the trade and commission agents And there are still doubts about Are many who think this is even less Once the price gets around 15 ct it will be in your hands sorters in a few weeks So put it on It's up to you now Let the market do its job and the price is there just like that, if you just stop printing it through manipulations.

Going in the right direction, beeper The commission agents are given more space from the cartel. They mainly receive advice from left and right, to play the game in the long term, as has already happened in recent weeks. Now come in via colleague proposals from commission agents about a fixed nice basic price, (delivery in 4 weeks) and participate at the top of the price increase. Heard another proposal nice price and gross weight is net (delivery in 3 weeks) Last proposal I was told was delivery in 3 weeks, nice basic price and percentage gross considerably better paid So beeper the commission agents have been given space by the bosses of cartel See the future in a bright light Could there be some bills from the pile that have not yet been paid.

You remain very vague with your nice prices and sharing?
So they try to pressure the market by buying in advance and, when the stock market is kept calm, to share in a predicted price increase that will not or hardly occur because of this game. This is a sausage that is never given, peasant deception.
With free trade it is buying and loading within a week, at most 10 days, otherwise the free market is gone.
Wadden Fund 21 February 2018
They'll bring them out in a minute, like all those batches that were bought for 12ct at the beginning of March and are now being loaded this week. From what I hear, many batches of onions have already been fixed in the long term. I'll be curious what this will do to the price if the sorters find out about this from the milker They are bugging the milker a bit, despite the agreements within the cartel But yes they call that competition!!!!
Narcos 21 February 2018
Plenty of onions are being loaded, many 'new' areas are becoming fairly empty, appointments for Feb are being completed quickly, and contracts from March are also being charged. See on vta a deal of €12 on direct from no coarse onions and also from 10, less than 60% coarse. Quoters should be allowed to quote a little more, and the market will go further,,,,,

With winter approaching, an extra boost for yellow and red.

You cannot raise the market by listing. There might be a little more demand.
It is a bad sign if expensive onions bought in the future are picked up.
If buyers take their loss, they don't do it because they see it.....
Wadden Fund 21 February 2018
Listing Middenmeer 6 to 9 ct ????Are there all sorters in the listing committee Doesn't make sense at all They get in the way of the milker for onions in the polder And then put a quote on the shelves Then you help the wolves in the onions forest Start there clover jacket club guys
You can no longer respond.
