New Zealand's onion exports are in a rearguard action, compared to the performance of previous years. What do the latest export figures look like?
Onion exports from New Zealand started slowly this season. Up to and including week 11, 38.350 tons have been exported, with the Netherlands as the port of arrival for the largest volume (10.542 tons). Part that is supplied via the Dutch ports is driven overland to the hinterland and therefore does not remain in the Netherlands.
