This increases the total to a seasonal volume of 918.312 tonnes. Calculated in the number of weeks, this means 24.819 tons of onions per week. In calendar year 2018, 249.506 tons of onions were exported compared to 235.961 tons in 2017.
The English take the lead in week 13 when it comes to the largest volume of onions purchased. With a volume of 2.413 tons, Great Britain is more than 540 tons ahead of number 2, Guinea, which imported 1.872 tons of onions based on preliminary information. A notable customer in the top five is Spain with 1.324 tons. Mauritania and Ivory Coast accounted for 1.197 tons and 940 tons. Export demand came from 86 countries in a week.
