Which countries buy 1.000 tons of onions?

Senegal and Ivory Coast are again the largest buyers of Dutch onions. According to preliminary export figures from week 43, however, there are still 4 destinations that purchase more than 1.000 tons of onions.

Another week with figures above 25.000 tons can be recorded. The provisional export figure for week 43 indicates an export of 25.871 tons. Exports are also continuing well this week (week 46) and next week (week 47). An export volume of over 25.000 tons is expected for both weeks.

The postal information comes to 2.762 tons, bringing the total for this season to 367.796 tons of onions. The average weekly export therefore amounts to 21.635 tons of Dutch onions.

Africa is in the top 3
Once again, Senegal and Ivory Coast are the main buyers of onions from the Netherlands. With 6.378 tons, Senegal purchases the most onions. Ivory Coast is good for a purchase of 4.566 tons of onions this week. With a purchase of 1.652 tons of onions, Mali ensures that the entire top 3 comes from Africa. In addition to the top 3, Great Britain, Indonesia and Guinea also record an export figure above 1.000 tons.
