Onion prices have skyrocketed in recent weeks. Because processors and exporters are now a lot calmer, prices have stabilized. The mood among growers who do not yet have have done business, is still very fixed. As a result, there were few transactions last week.
Bale prices also remain at last week's level. €30 is paid for the triplets, the medium grade is sold in the bale for €50 and the bale price for the coarse grades is €55. There is little trade in supers, so the bale price for this grade is just above that of the coarse grade.
Again more than 26.000 tons
With a provisional export figure of 26.742 tons, exports exceeded 26.000 tons again. Week 46 fell in the middle of the previous buying round, in which a lot of trading took place. The importing countries once again have to get used to Dutch prices and have already purchased significant volumes in the previous weeks.
Only at the regional fair in Goes is a plus (€2,50) noted for the finest sorting. All other sortings remain unchanged. If the 3 fairs are compared, the finest grading costs €30 to €40, for the 30% to 60% coarse the price is €38 to €48 and for the coarse onions €42 to €50. XNUMX noted.
