The (provisional) export figure for week 51 is much lower than the weekly average for this season. The export figure amounts to 16.120 tons, while the seasonal average is 22.669 tons of onions.

Senegal back in front
Like in week 50 Senegal keeps export figures in check. With a purchase of 9.110 tons, Senegal purchases more than 56% of the total weekly volume. This brings the seasonal total for this country to 124.376 tons of onions. It is likely that few onions will be exported to Senegal from week 51 onwards, because a new quota must first be agreed.

Guinea is the second largest buyer in week 51 (1.604 tons). These were also the only 2 countries that achieved a weekly export of more than 1.000 tons. The top 3 is closed by Mauritania (839.850).

In the top 3 of best export years
The subsequent information (645 tons) puts the seasonal total at 560.830 tons. With only the export figures for week 52 remaining, the total exported volume in 2018 amounts to 1.040.046 tons. Only in 2016 and 2017 more onions were exported.
