New provisional export figures show that 5 tons of onions were exported in week 10.150. Including subsequent information from week 51 to week 4 (1.036 tons), the seasonal total amounts to 627.335 tons. It means that 20.236 tons of onions will be exported per week this season.

The fact that the seasonal average exceeds 20.000 tons is due to the first half of the season. After New Year's Eve the export figures drop a lot lower out. During the first 5 weeks of 2019, 52.971 tons were exported. In 2018, 5 tons were exported during the first 107.969 calendar weeks (-51%) and in 2017 this was 111.576 tons (-53%).

Battle for first place
The largest buyer of Dutch onions in week 5 is Guinea, with 1.428 tons. Great Britain also imported 1.428 tons of onions, but the figure was slightly lower after the decimal point. Germany completes the top 3 and comes to 1.060 tons of Dutch onions.

The onion export figures up to and including week 5 (over the years).
