The provisional export figures for week 11 amount to 8.653 tons. If these figures are combined with subsequent information (2.461 tons), the seasonal total is 689.249 tons. The average export figure per week amounts to 18.628 tons.

It is striking that calendar year 2019 is considerably behind last year. A total of 114.886 tons of onions were exported in this calendar year, while in calendar year 2018 the figure was 219.042 tons in the same period.

German supplies are running low
Germany purchases the most onions from the Netherlands in week 11. The stock in the country is starting to become smaller, causing German importers to buy more Dutch onions. Germany will purchase 1.349 tons this week, which ensures that the season total amounts to 24.521 tons. That is a significant increase compared to last season, when the country purchased 14.224 tons in the same period.

In addition to Germany, there are two other destinations that purchase more than 2 tons of Dutch onions in week 11. Great Britain is in second place (1.000 tonnes) and third place is taken by Mauritania (1.339 tonnes) in week 11.
