Great Britain is a popular destination on the onion market

Great Britain has been one of the best buyers of Dutch onions for the entire season. How many onions do they buy in week 13?

From the provisional figures regarding the onion export shows that 13 tons were exported in week 10.384. The subsequent information also increases the figures for the previous weeks by 1.660 tons of onions. The seasonal average now stands at 18.396 tonnes. The total seasonal volume amounts to 717.456 tons.

Constant customer
Britain has been a consistent buyer of Dutch onions throughout the season. In week 13, the country was again the best buyer and imported 1.656 tons of onions from the Netherlands. This brings the seasonal total to 81.776 tons. This is a fraction less than Great Britain purchased in the same period last year (82.221 tonnes).

Germany is in second place in week 13 and purchased 1.534 tons of onions. Third place in week 13 goes to Mauritania. This country purchased 613 tons of Dutch onions that week.
