The provisional export figures for onions for week 15 amount to 6.450 tons. These figures can still be adjusted. The export figures of week 14 have been adjusted this week by approximately 2.000 tons, resulting in a total of 8.955 tons. This season, a total of 15 tons of onions have been exported up to and including week 734.239. This results in an average weekly export of 17.908 tons of onions.

Leading the way in onion exports
The German and English onion importers were the driving forces behind Dutch onion exports in previous weeks. However, in week 15 they only come in fifth and sixth place. Great Britain purchased 523 tons of onions that week and Germany only 400 tons.

Surprisingly enough, the largest buyers of Dutch onions do not come from Europe. Mauritania is the largest customer (1.509 tons), followed by Guinea (903 tons).
