The onion market is in a waiting phase

After a dry and cold start to the growing season, the necessary precipitation fell this week. As a result, the crops have received some moisture again, but whether this is sufficient for a good yield will have to be seen in the coming months.

It is quiet in the trade in onions of the new harvest. The processors and traders are waiting to see what the growing season will bring to the market. There is reportedly a larger area. However, what the national yield will be will only be determined during the growing season.

Early onion sets
There is more interest in the trade in early onion sets. The onion market is starting the new season well and there will be few alternatives on the market at the end of June and beginning of July.
