Bale prices on the onion market have fallen sharply in recent weeks. When will this downward spiral be established?
The first export figures for the 2019 harvest were announced this week. Although exports start relatively early, they still have to get going. The provisional figures for the first week of July show an export of 2.228 tons. Processors and exporters indicate that they are busier this week than in previous weeks. However, large export volumes have not yet materialized. We mainly have to wait until the markets towards Africa show more demand.
