There are still many onion onions on the market for which there is no market (yet). Most onion processors have switched to seed onions, which makes the market for onion onions difficult at the moment. Many of these onions are therefore sold to Polish peelers.

Negative differences
The supply of onion onions also puts pressure on the seed onion market. All regional stock exchanges recorded a negative difference this week. If we compare the exchanges, the price for sowing onions is €8 to €10,50.

In contrast to grower prices, bale prices remain at a stable level. However, there is a difference in the bale prices for onion onions and the bale prices for seed onions.
