By exporting 13.831 tons to Senegal, exports have reached a new seasonal record. In its totality there is worldwide 32.502 tons exported. Not only exports to Senegal are going well in that week, because in week 34 there are no fewer than 6 destinations with a purchase of more than 1.000 tons. After Senegal, Brazil is the largest buyer, with 2.832 tons. Ivory Coast takes third place (2.709 tons).

In the first weeks after the opening of the market in Senegal, many onions were exported, which means that the supply is currently lower. In addition, the supply to Brazil is a lot calmer.

Grower prices
Since we are currently in the middle of the harvest period, there is a lot of supply on the onion market. When we compare the quotations, the 30% to 60% coarse is quoted €8,50 to €11,00 and the 60% upward sorting is €8,00 to €11,00.

Bale prices also remain stable. Only the coarse sizes, which are often exported to Brazil, are under slight pressure. This is because Brazil is currently taking a step aside.
