Onion exporters have a good taste

Onion exporters have a knack for marketing the onions. The latest provisional export figures therefore show the second best result of the current season.

Based on the provisional figures, approximately 35 tons of onions from the Netherlands crossed the border in week 24.226. First place is for Senegal, with a decrease of 3.341 tons. This country is closely followed by Ivory Coast. That country purchased 35 tons of onions from the Netherlands in week 3.256.

Third place goes to Brazil, a somewhat striking result. Approximately 35 tons went to this country in week 3.178. Indonesia is in 4th place, with an import of 2.591 tons. Malaysia closes the top 5 with 1.313 tonnes.

Subsequent information
In total, the export counter for this season is 162.413 tons, which means an average of 18.045 tons are exported per week. The subsequent figures for weeks 27 to week 34 increase the total by 688 tons of onions from the Netherlands.
