Brazil asked the market
After Senegal, Brazil is the largest buyer of onions from the Netherlands. Last year, Brazilian importers were not active on our market at all until week 37, but this year exports started early. With an export of 5.083 tons per week, the seasonal total for Brazil amounts to 26.605 tons.

In addition to Senegal and Brazil, Ivory Coast, Great Britain, Mali and Guinea also purchase more than 36 tons of Dutch onions in week 1.000. If we add these destinations together, they together purchase 30.341 tons of Dutch onions. This brings the seasonal total to 194.188 tonnes.
