Onion export to Brazil through 30.000 tons

Brazil has registered early this year on the Dutch onion market. The South American country has already purchased more than 37 tons of onions up to and including week 30.000.

The provisional export figures for onions (week 37) show a weekly export of 32.897 tons. The seasonal total therefore amounts to 229.479 tons, with an average of 20.862 tons exported per week. In addition, the top 3 largest customers have remained the same weekend 36. This means that the list is topped by Senegal. This country purchased 7.105 tons of onions from the Netherlands that week.

Brazil asked the market
Second place goes to Brazil, with an import volume of 6.664 tons from the Netherlands. The seasonal total for this country now amounts to 33.268 tons. It is striking that no onions had been exported to this country during this period last year.

Ivory Coast is the third largest buyer in week 2. The country purchased 37 tonnes from the Netherlands in that week. This is also the largest volume that the country has imported from our country this year. Ivory Coast has purchased a total of 4.987 tons of onions this season. This is 25.940% less than last year in the same period.
